ARIS EPC is a business process notation that was originally developed by A.W. Scheer, and used by the IDS Scheer company in their ARIS process modeling software tool. EPC is also supported by a number of other companies, including Oracle and Microsoft. The notation is extensively used to tailor SAP applications. IDS Scheer is now owned by SoftwareAG.
